Artist
Paperkraft
Paperkraft is an Osaka-based DJ and producer. Drawing on the spirit of ’90s and 2000s club music, house, rave, and underground dance music, he pursues a distinctive sound where nostalgia and a forward-looking sensibility coexist.
Rolling grooves, hard-hitting drums, emotional melodies, and a raw, experimental edge define Paperkraft’s music. At its core is the physical energy inherited from the golden era of club music, reimagined for today’s dancefloors while moving freely across genre boundaries.
The release that firmly established his presence was the 2025 EP Somethin’ Nasty on Sally C’s Big Saldo’s Chunkers. Packed with heavy grooves, unruly rhythms, and the euphoria of rave, the record gained support from DJs around the world and propelled Paperkraft onto the international club circuit.
Since then, his music has received support from a wide range of artists including Carl Cox, Peggy Gou, DJ Boring, Moxie, Big Miz, and Andre Zimmer. In 2026, tracks by Paperkraft were featured on mix CDs from the Fabric series curated by DJ Tennis and Eliza Rose respectively, marking the rare achievement of appearing on two Fabric releases within a single year.
His music has also been played on BBC and Rinse, as well as across radio stations, clubs, and festivals around the world, establishing a strong international reputation both as a producer and DJ.
That same year, Paperkraft embarked on his first European tour, travelling through Nijmegen, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Berlin, with performances at venues and events including Sisyphos and Thuishaven, as well as radio appearances. The tour marked a significant expansion of his presence within the European club scene. Based in Osaka, a city with a culture and identity all its own, Paperkraft continues to follow his intuition and place his trust in the dancefloor rather than chasing mainstream trends.
Driven equally by a deep respect for the history of club music and a desire to create something yet unheard, Paperkraft connects the roots of house music with its future, continuing to carve out his own evolving identity on the global stage.
