Juma Iking

Juma Iking is a Dutch-Tanzanian multi-instrumentalist, producer, and live-looping performer whose music defies conventional boundaries. Drawing from his rich cultural heritage and global influences, Juma weaves together the driving rhythms of house and afro with the atmospheric textures of ambient and the soul-soothing grooves of reggae. His genre-fluid approach results in a sound that is both deeply rooted and forward-thinking; organic and electronic, earthy and futuristic.

Armed with acoustic and electric guitars, bass, keyboards, sampling devices, and a loop station, Juma transforms any stage into a sonic playground. As a true one-man band, he constructs his sets from the ground up—layering percussive beats, lush harmonies, hypnotic basslines, and soulful vocals in real-time. Each performance becomes a unique, immersive journey, shaped as much by the energy of the crowd as by the moment itself.

His live shows are a celebration of spontaneity, musicality, and connection. Whether performing at intimate venues, open-air festivals, or experimental spaces, Juma engages his audience with infectious grooves, textured soundscapes, and a raw, unfiltered presence. With his intuitive command of both digital production and live instrumentation, he bridges the gap between the studio and the stage.

Beyond performance, Juma is also a dedicated producer and collaborator, working across genres and borders to craft tracks that carry both emotional depth and rhythmic sophistication. His work speaks to a global mindset—embracing the possibilities of modern technology while honoring traditional sounds and organic processes.
